Dr. Joseph Kiesler Awarded 2025 Julie Martin Service Provider of the Year Award
NeighborHub Health proudly congratulates Dr. Joseph Kiesler on receiving the Greater Cincinnati Homeless Coalition’s 2025 Julie Martin Service Provider of the Year Award. This honor recognizes an individual or organization that provides exemplary services to people experiencing homelessness and demonstrates unwavering dedication to the mission of ending homelessness in Greater Cincinnati.
Dr. Kiesler has served as a dedicated medical provider with NeighborHub Health for 15 years. In 2025, he played a pivotal role in launching our Street Medicine Team and successfully securing the OneOhio Recovery Foundation Grant, helping make street medicine an integral part of our patient services.
Guided by the motto “Go to the people,” the Street Medicine Team operates from a sprinter van, meeting patients on their own terms and in the spaces where they live and congregate. This innovative approach allows care to reach individuals who might otherwise go without vital medical services.
Dr. Kiesler’s receipt of this award is a well-deserved recognition of his long-standing commitment to advancing compassionate, innovative care for vulnerable populations. Well done, Dr. Kiesler!
Partnering to meet needs
NeighborHub Health partners with other area organizations to respond to the ever-changing needs of our patient population. This improves access to comprehensive, coordinated quality care while maximizing existing resources.
Securing funding for services
Funding for these services comes through a federal Health Care for the Homeless Grant, Ryan White Part C funding grant, insurance billings, and private donations.
FTCA Deemed Facility
NeighborHub Health receives HHS funding and has federal PHS deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.
